We’ve recently launched our Magic of Childminding campaign, and we’d love your help bringing it to life by capturing children’s voices. We’re inviting childminders and parents to share the voices of children talking about their experiences. These moments help showcase the joy, belonging, care, and fun that make childminding so special.
How to get involved
Record a short clip or voice note of a child responding to some simple prompts about their time in your setting. Natural, relaxed responses are perfect – those moments say it best. Simply use your phone’s voice recorder or video function and email the file to: policy@corampacey.org.uk . Or, if you prefer to write down the child’s answer and email it to us, that’s fine too! Before sending anything, please make sure you have parent’s permission to share.
Try these prompts
You can use any of the questions below to get started, or use your own!
- “What’s your favourite thing to do when you come here?”
- “What makes you happy or smile when you’re here?”
- “What’s the most fun thing you’ve done here?”
- “What do you like best about coming here?”
- “How does being here feel like home to you?”
- “How does it make you feel when you come here?”
- “Can you tell me about a really fun day you had here?”
- “If you were telling someone about this place, what would you say?”
- “What’s the most magical thing about being here?”
Drawings and artwork
Children’s artwork is another wonderful way to capture their experiences. If children have created drawings of your setting, activities, or their childminder, we’d love to see them.
With permission, you can send images to: policy@corampacey.org.uk
